Max Larson is an active promoter of Information Technology in the Caribbean, particularly in his native Haiti.
An enthusiastic teacher, he believes that education is the fastest road towards developing human capital, which is why he was one of the first to join the Ayitic “Internet for Development” project, a capacity building initiative specifically designed and geared towards Haiti and the country’s needs.
Larson also serves as Co-Chair of LACNIC’s Public Policy Forum, a position from which he has worked in favor of the self-regulation model promoted by our organization for managing Internet resources in Latin America and the Caribbean.
During his participation at LACNIC21, Larson expressed his belief that consensus will lead the region to continue with its open, participatory, and transparent process under which Internet resources are managed.
