LACNIC CEO Coordinates Global Meeting on the Future of Internet Governance

LACNIC’s Executive Director and CEO, Raúl Echeberría, has been appointed co-Chair of the Executive Committee responsible for defining the formats and topics to be discussed at the Global Multistakeholder Meeting on the Future of Internet Governance to be held in Sao Paulo in the month of April. The task will be shared with Demi Getschko.

Raúl Echeberría is responsible for the committee that will be in charge of putting together the agenda for the meeting, designing the format for the event, and inviting participants from the various stakeholder groups involved in Internet governance

“This is certainly a recognition of the serious work carried out by LACNIC, our prestige, and the constructive and collaborative spirit evident in every forum in which we have the opportunity to participate,” said Echeberría.

The meeting to be held in Brazil seeks to prepare Internet governance principles and propose a way forward for the future development of the Internet governance ecosystem.
