Tenth Edition of the IPv6 Challenge

LACNIC and the IPv6 Challenge evaluation committee invite the Latin American and Caribbean Internet community to participate in the tenth edition of this challenge.

The IPv6 Challenge is an initiative created by the regional technical community and supported by LACNIC to recognize the work of the organizations that have started to deploy IPv6 in their networks.

It consists of using the tasks proposed by the challenge as a catalyst to begin or advance the IPv6 deployment process.

Any person or institution of the region that wishes to set a goal to advance their IPv6 deployment (countries within the LACNIC service region) can participate.

Various topis can be addressed during the challenge, including:

  • IPv6 in residential networks and how it supports teleworking
  • deployment experiences
  • transition of services to IPv6
  • application programming (APIs, sockets)
  • Service trials
  • Measurements, among others.

Registration will be open until 10 September. The winners will be decided by a committee of experts from different countries and will be announced during the LACNIC 36 LACNOG 2021 event.
