LACNIC 34 – LACNOG 2020 to Be Held Online in October

The LACNIC34 – LACNOG 2020 event will be held online on the same date that had originally been set for the in-person event, from 5 to 9 October 2020.

After the community’s successful participation in LACNIC 33 which was also held online and given the persistence of the COVID-19 pandemic in Latin America and the Caribbean that has restricted regional and international travel, LACNIC has decided to repeat the format of its latest event where more than 1,100 persons participated.  

The program will maintain the spirit of LACNIC’s face-to-face meetings, as reflected in the May event which revealed how the entire organization as well as all speakers and participants were able to adapt to a new format.

One of the program highlights will be the Public Policy Forum, as we will include an additional edition in August to discuss the proposals that were not debated at the LACNIC 33 Forum. The date and time on which the Forum will take place will be notified shortly.

This meeting will be co-organized by LACNIC and LACNOG, so the LACNOG 2020 Program Committee would like to remind the Internet community that the call for presentations for the event will remain open until 25 July. Those interested in presenting their work must submit a summary and a draft of their proposed presentation along with a brief biography using the form available at https://vulcano.lacnog.org/e/lacnog2020
