Álvaro Retana

Álvaro Retana is Vice President of Technology Strategy at Futurewei Technologies, Inc. He is actively involved with the IETF, where he co-chairs the spring Working Group (Source Packet Routing in Networking), co-chairs the rasprg Research Group (Research and Analysis of Standard-Setting Processes), and is the author of several RFCs. He is also a member of the IAB (Internet Architecture Board), the IRSG (Internet Research Steering Group), and the INTC (Industry Network Technology Council). Álvaro has published four technical books and has been granted more than 60 patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
