Jorge Cano

Senior Software Architect, LACNIC

I have more than twenty years of experience developing and managing DNS services and other Internet-related technologies. First, at NIC Mexico, the Mexican country-code top-level domain administrator, then at PCH, and now at LACNIC.

At NIC Mexico, I worked on their registry software, implementing registry/registrar separation, and designed and built their DNSSEC system from scratch. From 2016 onward, I led NIC Mexico’s research and development lab and contributed to open source networking projects, including Jool (SIIT / NAT64 for Linux), Reddog (RDAP Server Framework for Java), and FORT Validator (RPKI Validator for Linux and BSD).
