Guillermo Cicileo
Guillermo Cicileo is currently Head of Internet Infrastructure Research and Development at LACNIC. He is a member of the LACNOG board and coordinates the Training Task Force. In addition, he is part of the LACNIC Technical Forum program committee.
Until 2015, he was General Coordinator of RIU, the Argentine national university network.
He actively participated in the creation of RedCLARA (Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks) and was a member of the project’s initial Technical Commission.
He was involved in the Internet in Argentina since its early days, working as part of both the academic sector and Internet Service Providers. He has collaborated with the most relevant organizations promoting Internet development and been involved in LACNOG meetings and the region’s major Internet related activities and forums.
His work has been linked to national and international scientific and academic networks, areas in which he was involved for more than 15 years. His professional background includes leading Argentina’s first connection to the Internet and advanced networks, as well as the country’s incorporation to RedCLARA.
