Alessia Zucchetti 

Alessia is currently Research and Cooperation Projects Coordinator at LACNIC. She has worked in research, international cooperation, and regional and international capacity building in digital technologies, the Internet ecosystem and related policies.

Prior to this, she worked with the Ceibal Foundation in Uruguay, where she was involved in Education and Digital Technology projects and research; the European Commission’s Directorate General for Communications Networks in Belgium, where she worked on digital policy and innovation in ICT; and Forlì’s Europe Direct Centre, part of the European Commission’s regional information and communications network in Italy. 

She has also been part of various working groups and collaborated with different international organizations such as the T20 (G20), UNESCO, IDB, HundrED (Finland), CAF, Global Campus of Human Rights, and others. 

She has a master’s degree in Mass Media and Politics from the University of Bologna, Italy, as well as a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad de la República, Uruguay.
