Wilson Ramírez is a network researcher and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), where he conducted his doctoral research at the Advanced Network Architectures Lab (CRAAX), focusing on resilience mechanisms for IP/optical networks. His research training was supported by an FPI fellowship from Spain’s Ministry of Science and Innovation.

He has more than 18 years of professional experience in information and communication technologies across the pharmaceutical, banking, and transportation sectors.

His current research focuses on the territorial and temporal analysis of digital services and infrastructure using statistical, econometric, geospatial, data science, and remote-sensing methods. He is affiliated with the universities UNPHU and INTEC in the Dominican Republic.
