This course is expected to be a valuable training opportunity for network engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop will cover IPv6-only networking concept, covering from NAT64\/DNS64 to IPv6 networks in 10GPON, including SIIT-DC. According to Acosta, the workshop will consist of theoretical explanations for each topic, as well as live practical demonstrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training on NAT64\/DNS64 and IPv4 prefix routing in IPv6-only networks (using RFC 8950 and without tunnels or MPLS) will be conducted by LACNIC&#8217;s expert. SIIT-DC will be taught by Correa, and Cotua will provide a live demonstration of IPv6 provisioning to 10GPON networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This topic is precisely one of the great highlights of the tutorial. &#8220;It is a current and necessary topic in connection with IPv6 and the growth of 10GPON networks worldwide,&#8221; Acosta added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TRAINING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop will address two crucial topics:&nbsp; NAT64\/DNS64 and IPv4 prefix routing in IPv6 networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first topic will be key to understand most of the course as it will provide a detailed description of how NAT64\/DNS64 operates within networks, in addition to outlining its strengths and weaknesses. Once the theoretical content has been completed, there will be a live demo of this mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Routing IPv4 prefixes on IPv6-only networks is an innovative technique that allows for efficient advertising of IPv4 prefixes on IPv6 networks by relying on BGP capabilities and routing them within a Datacenter. &#8221; This mechanism does not use tunnels, MPLS or NAT. It is implemented in a native way. We will explain in detail how it works using BGP sessions between different devices and capturing packets with Wireshark,&#8221; said Acosta. This practice will provide a detailed understanding of how IPv4 prefix routing works in IPv6-only networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Correa will provide training on the SIIT-DC transition mechanism, which demonstrates a network deployment model enabling &#8216;Legacy IPv4 Only&#8217; networks to establish connections to and from IPv6-only networks.&nbsp; This allows for connections between IPv4 and IPv6 single-stack networks.
