With a keynote presentation by Lee Howard and a lineup of 16 noted speakers, the LACNIC Technical Forum will be held on Tuesday, 3 May and Thursday, 5 May, in Cali, Colombia, within the framework of  LACNIC 37.<\/a> The activity will also be streamed via Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forum is a meeting point for the regional technical community to share their experiences related to Internet development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keynote speaker Lee Howard will present updated information on IPv6 deployment in Latin America and the Caribbean. He will also analyze the impact of IPv4 transfer markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The technical presentations scheduled for the first day of the Technical Forum will then begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speakers will give their presentations both in person and remotely, addressing topics of interest such as IPv6, DNS, the impact of the pandemic on Internet traffic, and RPKI. Click here<\/a> for details of Tuesday’s agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forum will continue on Thursday, 5 May. Topics to be addressed during this second day include cybersecurity, IoT, and advances in the deployment of IPv6 in Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day will conclude with brief presentations by the professionals selected to participate in last year’s LACNIC IT Women Mentoring Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
